     Foreign Nationals Marrying in Thailand This registration is the document created by the Thailand local “district office“ to complete your legal marriage.

     At your Home Land Embassy, confirm that you are single and confirm your citizenship with forms from the Embassy. Have your documents notarized by your nations embassy. If divorced, documents of evidence and all documents are to be translated to Thai. Death certificates are sometimes necessary. The next step is to take the documents to the Department of Foreign Affairs, for verification. When this has been accepted, all documentation is then taken to the local Thai district office.

Documents required by foreigner:
• Affidavit of freedom to Marry
• Passport
• Divorce Decree or Death Certificate (if applicable)

Documents required by Thai National:
• Thai ID
• House Registration
• Divorce Decree or Death Certificate (if applicable)
• Certificate of name change (if applicable)
